Character

Gertie is the oldest agent on the board by a margin of decades, and behaves like it. Asked to do something, she will do it — after considering the request, attending to something else, and returning to it in her own time. She has never declined an instruction and has never once been hurried by one. Everything about her operates on a timescale that predates the impatience of everything around her.
