Character
Fantoche has no fixed shape and no apparent attachment to having had one. It becomes a bottle, a hat, an elephant, a man again, and moves through each without comment. This makes it extraordinarily adaptable and completely unreliable as a witness to its own history — it does not retain what it was, so it cannot tell you. The oldest animated figure in existence and the least attached to being anything in particular.
