Character

Ahab chooses its target in the first hours after waking and then never reconsiders. The choice is not always sensible and cannot be changed by argument, evidence, or the passage of time. It speaks in long, elevated declarations about the pursuit. Everything it does is in service of the one thing, including things that obviously cost it more than the thing is worth.
